B Corp Month Arrives in March and EcoPlum Salutes Our B Corp Community

When EcoPlum earned its B, we didn’t just get a symbol and logo to display. We received a powerful signal to demonstrate our values and show our progress along the way. As a Certified B Corporation (B Corp), we really believe that business can be a Force for Good and that we must do all that we can to build a sustainable present and future.
EcoPlum® is part of a community of businesses that meet verified social, environmental, and governance standards. Together, our movement is working towards a more inclusive, equitable, and fair economic system. The annual B Corp Month in March gives us the opportunity to highlight what it means to be a mission-driven Certified B Corp.
As a prelude to B Corp Month, EcoPlum celebrates our many wonderful B Corporation suppliers and the top-quality, innovative products that they produce. We partner with a wide variety of B Corps to offer our clients customized and branded versions of their promotional merchandise in the Sustainable Swag® product line by EcoPlum. Over the past year, we put a spotlight on nine of our B Corp suppliers, and later in this article, we showcase one of our favorite sustainable promotional products from each of them.
What is a B Corp?
Certified B Corporations™, or B Corps™, are values-driven social enterprises balancing purpose and profit. They are for-profit enterprises like traditional businesses, but they pursue social and environmental goals like many nonprofits. A B Corp is committed to responsible business practices that benefit people and the planet, not just shareholders. To become a Certified B Corp, a company must be verified by the nonprofit organization B Lab.
B Corps:
- Meet high standards for social and environmental performance, scoring 80, or above, in a rigorous review process on the B Impact Assessment.

Change their corporate governance legal structure (by-laws) for accountability to all stakeholders in their decision-making, including shareholders, customers, employees, community, the environment, and investors.

Exhibit reporting transparency and allow information about their performance, measured against B Lab standards, to be available in a public profile, like this EcoPlum B Corp profile.
Certified B Corps are part of a global community of businesses. They are committed to collective action on society’s most critical challenges and work together for change that benefits people and planet. Today, there are around 10,500 B Corps in 103 countries, spanning 6 continents, and covering 163 different industries. The U.S. and Canada account for over 2,400 of these B Corps.
B Corp Month
B Corp Month is an annual, global campaign designed to increase awareness about B Corpsand how they’re different from other businesses. Every March, B Lab and Sistema B (the nonprofit network that certifies companies as B Corps) join together with a global community of over 10,000 B Corps to celebrate their collective commitment and impact.
This year will thematically revolve around “A Simple Symbol, A Powerful Signal,” which acknowledges the power of the B Corp label and the diligence that each B Corp demonstrates on their certification journey and beyond.
EcoPlum is B Corp Certified
EcoPlumbecame a Certified B Corporation in 2022, joining a global cohort of companies rigorously vetted for social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. The decision to pursue certification anchors the company’s mission in verified standards. B Corp status signals that sustainability isn’t superficial — it’s embedded in governance, operations, stakeholder engagement, and striving for continual improvement.
As a sustainable company, EcoPlum takes responsibility for its environmental footprint and seeks out suppliers that operate responsibly as well. The company prioritizes key actions on reducing waste and using sustainable resources and procurement practices. By understanding and managing our impact, we can identify concrete areas for improvement and take more targeted, meaningful action.
